To Find Us:

If you are a 501C3 rescue group and you need help transporting a cat or dog from the Amarillo Animal Management & Welfare, KARTS may be able to help you.

What KARTS is here for-
KARTS is here to help our 4 legged friends at the local shelter in Amarillo. The pets that are forgotten, the abandoned and dumped, ones that were likely part of someone’s family until they found their way here. Their whole world revolved around someone who either gave up on them or possibly never really cared. WE CARE.

KARTS limitations:

Thanks to a generous donation, KARTS has a large capacity cargo van and can transport many animals.

I do have a job and work 7-4 Monday through Friday. This can be an issue because so many rescue groups are doing adoption drives on weekends.

If you are pulling with the Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society please let them know if KARTS is the transport group you desire to use. We have very limited communications with APHS so we do ask that you send contact information directly to KARTS.

Please do this in the form of a text message with:
1.    Your rescues name
2.    Your name
3.    Your contact who is meeting KARTS name and telephone number
4.    Description and kennel number of animal at the shelter

OUR RANGE: On a Saturday run, we can help in about a 350 mile radius around the city of Amarillo, TX. Keep in mind we book fast so we may not be available, check the pinned comment that usually gives dates and commitments for the next several Saturday trips. We also may take a few weekends here and there off or have family/local events to take care of. We would do KARTS all the time but have quickly learned we have limits!

Usually, we handle the Southern transport and meet rescues in Southlake, TX near Fort worth and Dallas. It is very close to Grapevine and near DFW Airport.

BRING A CRATE! We have lost too many crates; you should have one crate per animal that you have requested, unless they were kennel mates at the shelter or littermates.

Please DO NOT cold call KARTS to ask us for transport help. We give top priority to our local shelter and the rescues working to save lives there. We keep busy, very busy and do not work with relay groups or pick up in other Texas cities. Please post those requests in groups like Texas Transports. We think these are great and are happy they are helping but KARTS is higher volume, higher risk animals only.

Donations- All donations are greatly appreciated and will be used for gas money and other necessities for transporting these babies to their better lives. We also can use leashes, blankets and gently used or new crates/carriers and ALWAYS need training pads, we use these for crate liners.
